Today’s question is, “What difference has Christ’s coming done to the world?
2 Corinthians 5:18 says, “God, through Christ reconciled us to Himself.” Sin separated us from God. This happened in the garden of Eden. But God reconciled us to Himself by sending His son Jesus to earth in human form to take the punishment for our sins. This way, peace was established between God and man.
Luke 2:14 says, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men” (KJV). This is also well said in the song,
Hark! the herald angels sing,
“Glory to the new-born King!
Peace on earth, and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconciled.”
Christ’s coming has enabled us to have a relationship with God. Our part is to receive the gift God is offering, believe Christ has paid for our sins, and accept his offer to become His children.
