Today’s question is: “How to be saved?”
To be saved is a prerequisite to know God, to enjoy the benefits of salvation, and also to be confident of spending eternity with God in heaven.
When sin entered the world through Adam and Eve, it resulted in the spiritual death of mankind.
But Christ “appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself” (Hebrews 9:26).
So, this salvation is not earned by being born in a Christian home or going to church or being good. It has to be received by faith in the finished work of Jesus on the cross. It is a gift–a free gift.
So my friend, to be saved, your prayer goes like this: “God, I realize I cannot save myself. I believe and accept the sacrifice Jesus made through his death as a payment for my sins. Amen.”
