Today’s question is: Do you feel burdened by life’s demands and see no rest in sight?
Life–the responsibilities and the demands placed on us seems to crush us physically, mentally and emotionally. We feel weighed down. Many a time we feel as though there is no relief in sight.
But there is help my dear friend. Jesus came to earth, for this reason: to deliver us from sin and give us relief from the burdens of sin and this world. He understands the difficulty of mankind. God wants to share in our burden. So as said in 1 Peter 5:7, “Cast your cares upon Him for He cares for you.”
In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says, “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
My dear friend, His rest is ours for the taking. As we believe in the finished work of Jesus on the Cross and trust His Word we will find rest, not just in our spirit, but also in our soul.
