Today’s question is: What is the New Covenant?
God talks about the New Covenant in the book of Hebrews 8:10 which reads, “This is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel on that day, says the LORD: I will put my laws in their minds, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people” (NLT).
This was prophesied in Ezekiel 36:26, when God said, “And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart” (NLT).
This transformation of heart happens at salvation, when we believe that Jesus paid for our sins on the cross. We receive a new heart that is sensitive and responsive to God’s promptings by the power of the Holy spirit living within us. This is a life transforming truth.
