Today’s question is, “What is the Gospel?”
Gospel means good news. And it refers to the Gospel of the Grace of God, as said in Acts 20:4.
This Good News came through Jesus Christ. John 1:17 says, “Grace came through Jesus.”
The Good News is that we have right standing with God because of Jesus’ finished work on the Cross. The Good News is that our acceptance before God does not come through our performance, but through faith in what Jesus’ has done for us.
Ephesians 2:8 says, For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.” And Romans 1:16 says, “the Gospel of Christ …is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes”
So my dear friend, we have this gift from God whereby we can have fellowship with God, and also experience His power in all areas of our lives.
